At Shiloh Schedule, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and the related browser extension.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google to create and manage your account.
• Site usage and analytics: We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to record page views, interactions (such as opening settings panels), device/browser type, and coarse location derived from IP. Analytics is used to understand feature usage and improve the product.
• App preferences: Backgrounds, gradients, schedule selections, and display settings you choose may be saved in your browser’s localStorage and, where applicable, in Firebase (for sync and uploads).
• Uploads: If you upload images (for backgrounds), the files are stored in Firebase Storage along with basic metadata (file type/size).
• Extension communication: When the extension is installed, the site may send theme or schedule metadata (e.g., gradient colors, selected schedule name) to the extension so it can mirror your settings. No authentication tokens or personal contact details are sent.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and maintain the service, including authentication, personalization, and feature settings.
• Operate analytics to measure performance and improve usability.
• Sync or restore your preferences across devices when you sign in.
• Support the optional browser extension by sharing limited, non-sensitive theme/schedule data with it.

3. Data Storage and Security

• Authentication, sync, and uploads use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage). Local preferences may also reside in your browser’s localStorage.
• We apply reasonable security controls but cannot guarantee absolute security on the internet.

4. Sharing Your Information

• Service providers: Google Firebase and Google Analytics process data on our behalf. Firebase handles auth, sync, and storage; Analytics measures usage.
• Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect users and the service.
• We do not sell or rent personal data.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• You can sign out at any time. To delete account data, email ShilohSchedule@outlook.com.
• You can clear localStorage through your browser to remove on-device preferences.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics by using browser settings, add-ons, or privacy blockers. Basic site functionality will still work.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use localStorage and similar browser storage to remember your theme, schedule, and extension preview settings. The site does not rely on third-party advertising cookies.
